PhotoReflect.com
- E-commerce Storefronts for Professional Photographers.
I was the lead architect on PhotoReflect.com and developed the initial site launched
in 1999 and continued its evolution through 2009. The site grew many fans and in
2009 over 30,000 photographers in over 25 countries used the full-featured site
for selling their photography online. Over 300 million photos were stored on the
site at any given time. That's about one photo for every person in the United States.
PhotoReflect.com is a great example of the custom e-commerce solutions I create
where off-the-shelf products fail.

Convert
a CSV to TXF - Out of necessity I created this web app to produce my schedule-D
with TurboTax.
It's developed using C# and ASP.Net. This is something that Intuit should
provide but, they do not.
It's fairly trivial and couldn't believe there were companies selling a "solution"
that is simple file format conversion. It's here and it's free and I get a lot of
traffic around tax time for this page. The Rod Whisnant CSV to TXF converter is
a must for anyone who trades stocks and needs to pay the IRS. This page also is
ranked highly in search engines.

Cute
Baby Photo Wall - Random baby photos from Flickr displayed in a constantly updating
Photo Wall. Developed using the Flickr API, AJAX and jQuery.
You may ask "why cute babies?" Well, this was also a part SEO experiment and the
Cute Baby Photo Wall page developed by Rod Whisnant ranks very high in search engines.
I also don't like talking about myself in the 3rd person but, search engines like
that and they like cute babies.
